Article 1: Acceptance of the general conditions

Each order is subject to the present general conditions of reservation without reserve.

Article 2: Rental rates

The rental rates are calculated for each reservation on the basis of the information given at the time of the reservation. Any modification of the reservation may bring about a change in the rental rate.

Advanced payment rates are non-refundable and cannot be combined with a promotional offer.

The rates exclude all of the additional charges and supplementary options which are not stated in the reservation confirmation. These extra charges and options must be paid directly by the client on the day of departure. 

Article 3: The motorhomes for rental

The reservation applies to a category of vehicle, but it should be noted that preferences in terms of model depend on the availability at the time of rental.

Article 4: Duration of the rental period and the return of the vehicles

The duration of the rental period is stated in the reservation confirmation, and it should be noted that if the vehicle is kept for longer than the agreed period you will be billed for the full week at the current rate.

The vehicle should be returned clean and with a full tank of petrol at the time stated in the contract.  If the petrol tank is not returned full you will be billed for a full tank at the price of the nearest petrol station.  If the vehicle is not returned clean you will be billed €200.  If you have not emptied the used water and have not emptied and cleaned the cassette toilet you will be billed €200.

Article 5: Vehicle equipment 

The vehicles are equipped  according to the list below and any equipment which is missing or damaged will be billed at the current rates (request details when signing the contract if necessary):
Awning, table and chairs, barbecue, tarpaulin sun shade, water pipe, extension cable (220v), 1 bottle of WC product, 1 gas cylinder (the client should replace the cylinder if it runs out during the rental period), wheel chocks, reversing camera, GPS, CD radio, control board, air-conditioning, Truma Combi heating and hot water system, shower cubicle, washbasin, WC, cupboards and wardrobe, bedding, hob with 3 rings, oven, 150l refrigerator, kitchen sink, dishes, extractor hood, flat screen TV, pillows, disposable pillow and mattress protector,

Article 6: Conditions of rental 

A copy of your driving licence and that of any other drivers included in the contract.  Drivers must be aged 21 years and over.
Proof of address (rent receipt, electricity or phone bill) dating from the last three months.
A copy of your ID card and that of any other drivers included in the contract.
A security deposit in the form of a bank cheque or bank card for the amount of €2000 (non-cashed) in the name of the main driver, he/she being the lessee named on the rental contract.
The excess on a motorhome is €1000
The excess on an electric scooter is €1000
The excess on a bicycle is €200
Animals are prohibited in the vehicles.
Smoking is prohibited in the vehicles.

Article 7: Reservation

You will be required to pay a deposit of 30% of the total rental amount in order to hold the reservation. 

Article 8  Modification or cancellation of the reservation 

45 days or more before the departure date: the total rental amount will be reimbursed minus the deposit. Between 45 and 30 days before the departure date: half the rental amount will be reimbursed minus the deposit. 21 days before the departure date: no reimbursement, the total rental amount must be paid.

You will not receive a reimbursement if your actual rental period is shorter than that stated in the reservation, in the case of a late pick up of the vehicle, in the case that the vehicle is not taken at the scheduled time at the start of the rental period, or in the case of cancellation made after the departure date.

Article 9 : Reimbursement

If exceptionally Holidays Family cannot honour the client’s reservation, Holidays Family commit to contact the client to cancel the reservation or to agree on the conditions of modification of the reservation. In the case of cancellation, Holidays Family commit to immediately reimburse the client the full amount paid on the reservation.

Article 10: Distance and Destination

Two options are available: firstly, a limited distance of 1000km for the week with a supplement of €0.50 inclusive of all taxes for each additional kilometre; secondly, an unlimited distance in France for the week, whilst a special rate will be given at the time of reservation for destinations abroad. Certain countries are not authorised by the insurance.

Article 11: Modification of the general conditions

Holidays Family reserve the right to modify the general conditions of service in order to adapt to changes in technology, legislation and the services offered.
